The Bournemouth Electric Club

Update on new legislation – Thursday 1st October

MESSAGE FROM MICK

To everyone who has supported the club over the last 85 years

This club has survived a number of major events over the last 85 years including a world war and a global recession, however, never has the club faced a challenge like the next six months is going to bring.  Although there is financial support available it is not enough to save the club unless we all continue to use the club through the Winter.  I am convinced we can make the club great again come March next year, but we need to get through to then.  NEVER has the club needed the support of its members, friends and the local community as much as it does for the next six months.  We are going to have to shut the venue from Monday to Wednesday, but we will continue to offer a great service for people to use the club from Thursday to Sundays.  Rather than just sitting back, we are determined to offer you more.  Starting on Sunday 4th October we have

Thursday Night – Curry Nights

Curry and a pint for £7.50 (starts Thursday 8th October)

Friday Night – Friday Night is Pizza Night!

2 pizzas for £9.95

Sunday Roast

Sunday roast from £6.95pp (kids U10 £4.95)

Additionally, we will have live comedy and music throughout the Winter

AND THIS IS WHERE I ASK YOU TO SPREAD THE WORD

If every member and supporter who has used the club over the last 3 months were to bring one friend and buy at least one drink and order one of the meal-deals a week, we will survive until Spring.

Please do your bit – Spread the word to friends and family, use the club and ensure the Electric can survive another 85 years!

Together we are strong!

regards

Mick

About the Club

The government has brought in new legislations that we have to conform to.  These are unfortunately non-negotiable and whatever your views as to how they will help fight Covid, we have to abide by the new rules

  1. Entry to the club is by the front door.  When you arrive please wear your mask and wait at the front of the member’s bar to be seated.
  2. Everyone must sign in via the government track and trace app which can be downloaded on your phone OR physically you must sign in at the door
  3. You will be allocated a table on arrival for your use during your stay at the club for the night
  4. Facemasks MUST be worn  at all times when moving around the building either to the toilets or outside
  5. There is no standing allowed in the building
  6. Drinks are only by waiter service.  We will take your orders and remove all your empties
  7. Outside – facemasks do not have to be worn when seated outside or ordering food, however we need to advise people that they must respect social distancing
  8. No social groups of more than 6 will be allowed to book in to the venue
  9. The venue will shut at 10pm.  Last orders will be called at 9.30pm.  You will have to leave the premises at 10pm.  No drinks can be taken off the premises.

Again we must reitterate these are not the club rules but government legislation.  Failure to comply is non negotiable I’m afraid.
